The Lockdown – Day 24: A Chill In The Air

13th April 2020 – Monday

Easter Monday!

It’s Bank Holiday Monday aka Easter Monday.

This is the first year that I forgot to get Easter eggs for the kids. I totally forgot but you know what, they weren’t that bothered anyway. As a matter of fact they don’t even eat their eggs – I recently threw away a batch of chocolate eggs that were left over from last year. They had been sitting in the cupboard all these months. So actually, I don’t feel too guilty.

The weather was a bit chillier today so the kids stayed indoors all day. Devon had a runny nose so I think he’s catching a cold. I’m still feeling a bit under the weather … my glands are a bit swollen and I’m feeling quite lethargic. But I guess it could be worse.

I haven’t really been in the mood today. I’ve been in my own head all day so I’m going to keep it short. Today I made a simple dinner of soy and honey chicken wings, caramelised pork ribs and stir-fried broccoli for dinner. The kids really enjoyed it … not sure of the hubby did though. He said the ribs were too salty, but me and the kids didn’t think so … the kids devoured them all.

I haven’t done a coronavirus update for a few days … so let’s see if there is anything new to report … news reports suggest that there is no sign of any changes to the lockdown right now. Spain are slowly lifting their lockdown and are letting some people return to work. I think we are in the peak of the pandemic so hopefully we’ll slowly start to see some improvement in figures. Oh, and Boris Johnson has made a recovery and has been sent home. He’s one of the lucky ones and I’m happy for him.

Even though I dislike him as our Prime Minister, I wouldn’t wish death on him.

Hope you all had a great day … remember to stay safe and stay at home.
